This is a guide to getting started with editing on this wiki.
Preparation
Although you can edit without an account, you are highly recommended to create an account or log into one. While it is possible to edit without an account, in which case you will receive an automatically generated temporary account, that temporary account will expire after 90 days and is specific to that specific device.
Of course, you can edit and move pages. With an account, you can also talk on the forums. After making 25 edits on an account that is at least 7 days old, that account will gain confirmed status, which will let you delete pages, among other benefits.
What can I do?
Some things you could help with:
- Creating new pages. You may check out Special:WantedPages for a list of the most wanted pages.
- Expanding existing pages, especially stubs, which you may find in category:stubs.
Editing
To edit a page, you can simply click Edit visual on the left. If it prompts you to convert the page to Markdown, it is likely because the page is an old Wikitext page from before 2026 that hasn't been converted, and you should convert it. This editor, the Polus editor, is a WYSIWYG ("what you see is what you get") editor and is recommended for everyone. It provides a nice, convenient toolbar with formatting options, along with options to add elements like tables and headings.
