The Local Group is the galaxy-group that the Milky Way is located in.

Galaxies

The Local Group contains 2 main subgroups of galaxies. The Milky Way subgroup contains the Milky Way and its satellites, namely the large and small magellanic clouds. Meanwhile, the Andromeda Galaxy subgroup has the Andromeda Galaxy, as well as the third major galaxy, the Triangulum Galaxy, which may or may not be a satellite. Additionally, there are many smaller dwarf galaxies in both groups, as well as secluded galaxies like ic-10.

ngc-3109 is right on the outskirts of the Local Group, and its membership is therefore uncertain. However, since observations show that it is receding faster than the main Local Group's escape velocity, it's either an escaping member or completely independent.
