J1407, short for 1SWASP J140747.93−394542.6, also known as V1400 Centauri, is a young K5 pre-main-sequence star in Centaurus.
It is perhaps best known for having been thought to host an exoplanet with an extensive ring system, J1407b. However, the eclipse has not been observed again, and recent research shows that the object is more likely a brown dwarf and may not exist at all.[1]
